I am being treated for achilles tendinitis by a physical therapist. Nothing seems to help. Any suggestions?

whatever you do with the therapist HAS to be done while you're away from the therapist too;; one huge thing is you NEED to do a little research if your therapist isn't already;; ya need to find out WHAT you are doing with your foot/ankle to cause the tension;; do you have the right footwear ?? (arch supports);; do you walk, run, or climb steps on your toes?? (don't, use your heel to strike first);; do you walk flatfooted?? (ask your therapist to check your walk);; do you workout doing squats?? (then keep your heels down);; are you walking on a treadmill?? (increase the incline);; of course you should be on anti-inflammatories (talk to your doc) & you have to be stretching (sitting with leg out in front is more effective than standing calf stretches, ask the therapist for more specific stretches);; & heavy/deep cross friction mage (hurts) to your achillies AND to the foot muscles (esp the arch);; you NEED to be implementing the same things (if you can), to your home program;; until then, grab your achilles with both hands (fingers) & wiggle side to side as often as you can;; if this is really that hard to treat, you waited too long to get it started;; MUCH harder to treat chronic dysfunctions than acute injuries... good luck, but this is not only up to therapy;; it's you who actaully has the job, the therapist is really just there to educate you so you can resolve this problem & prevent it again;; I simply say, our job is to put ourselves out of the job for each patient, & make sure they don't return with the same injury;; but it's up to YOU (be compliant & it should work!!);; this truly is an easy fix, esp if acute...
