What do you think of this construction going on in Mecca?

well to be honest the first hotel I stayed in in Mecca was terrible. It was old and every time we got in the elevator I was afraid the thing would crash to the floor! The second one was newer, cleaner, and much better. Those old hotels need to be completely renovated or demolished altogether IMHO. I know about the construction you talk about and its kind of a hle but I think its a necessary evil. As for more affordable hotels accommodations, well there has to be a balance of course I agree. But I don't think that will stem the tide of pilgrims. I saw many people who slept in the street and they didn't seem to mind a bit.
