Sometimes I get a msg. saying Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. What's that?

What is the problem? How do I solve it? It seems to be occurring more often than not. Then, I have two options: Debug and/or close. What is debug? I just got this computer last Christmas, (Dell Desktop Dimension E-521 with an Athlon 64 dual-core processor with a 19 -inch ViewSonic LCD Monitor), and, as far as I'm concerned, the whole setup is NOTHING BUT JUNK! I've had nothing but problems with this thing. It's amazing I haven't yet thrown this thing through my window; it's such JUNK! Ooohh, I wish I could just get a refund and get me another, different model. I am a rookie at this. I know nothing about firewalls, and what are add-ons? It's all foreign to me. What do you have to do to learn this crap, through trial-and-error? Do you have to totally render these pieces of junk useless, then buy another over-and-over, again? Is this a ploy from Microsoft to teach you how to ruin your computer, in the hope you'll buy another one sooner?
